Chess Plastics manufacture plastic components for a wide range of industries using our 20 larger size moulding machines, which range in size from 500 tonnes up to 1300 tonne lock. Typically, we are able to produce components from 300 mm square up to 1400 mm square, and offer a number of secondary operations.

Rapid Prototyping
Rapid prototyping is the fast manufacture of a physical part using CAD data. This process can allow customers to see an initial, early-stage physical example of how their final product will look. The process also allows us to check if the design needs any alterations before the production tooling is manufactured.
CAD Designing
Through the design process, we will assist you in selecting the ideal raw materials for your project, produce prototype parts so that you can physically see the initial design, assist with the design and procure tooling and manufacture the final products and assemblies.

With over 50 years of experience in plastic injection moulding & tool design, our engineers will project manage the design and production of tooling for your new components.

02. Transfer Tooling
Our small in-house toolroom is on hand to undertake routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of tools promptly and efficiently, keeping them in optimal production-ready condition.
Finishing & Assembly
We aim to provide our customers with a complete high quality product solution, thereby avoiding secondary handling or additional transport costs during the production process. This saves you time and money. Many of our customers use this service so that they can despatch finished products directly to their customers, such as Asda & Morrisons supermarkets, direct from our warehouse facility.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
We set out to understand your requirements and offer you a complete solution so that you can minimise additional processes. We offer you a range of additional services. These can include printing, welding, gluing, plating, assembly, and packaging to form complete units ready to despatch to the 'High Street' distributors or your customers from our distribution warehouse.
