Chess Plastics has its own ‘in-house’ toolroom where we can carry out refurbishments and modifications of existing injection moulding tools to overcome poor quality mouldings and reduction in process scrap levels.
Chess Plastics also undertake routine maintenance on customers tooling as part of our normal service.
We can provide a complete solution from initial design through to finished components. Our basic project management ensures that the most suitable toolmaker, material supplier and designer all work together on a project as the ultimate quality of any product depends on the initial development stages.
Chess have formed strategic alliances with a number of trusted overseas toolmakers to enable competitive quotations that are delivered on time, to budget, and meet European steel specifications of P20 and H13 also incorporating DME mould bases and YUDO hot feeds systems.
For tool transfers to Chess Plastics, your initial needs will be assessed by one of our dedicated project managers.
A multi disciplined Project Team will be initiated to ensure the smooth transition from tooling transfer to production. Our toolroom will examine transferred tools and make recommendations prior to production.
We will ensure that the P.P.A.P is completed within a month after tool transfer and we will act as your partner to ensure a smooth and satisfactory transition including helping to resolve problems with tooling and stockholding from the period prior to the tool transfer.
